The first entry of a blog is very similar to the first page of a new story. You want to intrigue the reader, to capture their interest so that they continue reading. Sound simple? It’s not. You could have the most amazing narrative running through your mind, with scenes so spectacularly planned out that it makes you grin like an idiot just thinking about them, but that first line is like a mountain. They might miss a wonderful story because you were unable to capture their interest fast enough.
