Something you hope to do in your life.
This one should be pretty obvious to anyone who is paying attention, but I’ll state it anyway. In my life I hope to publish (and, by extension, sell) a book. Or two, or three. I have no illusions of being picked up by a major publisher because for one thing, there’s a lot of competition out there, and for another thing I’m way too lazy and impatient to deal with all that submission and rejection nonsense. But I do plan to self-publish with something like CreateSpace, just as soon as I complete one of my novels to my liking.
Chances are that the one that makes the leap to publishing will be the one I’m currently working on, Nowhere to Hide. That said, to delve a little deeper into this “hope” thing, I do at some point hope (and it’s a big hope) to receive legal permission from Square Enix to publish a novelized version of their original storyline from Final Fantasy 3 (American). I’ve been playing with that one for several years now and gotten some good feedback from what I have written, and I think that would just be the greatest thing in the world, to be a part of that amazing story. 🙂
(If anyone has any idea of how someone actually goes about getting legal permission for something like that, please feel free to let me know as I don’t even know where you would start.)
