Ladies and gents, I think it’s about time I had a contest.
It has now been approximately five months since I self-published “Nowhere to Hide”, and I’ve yet to give away a free physical copy of the book. I would like to rectify that, so throughout the month of March I’m going to run a “comment contest”.

All throughout March, every time you comment on a post on my blog, you’ll get an entry into the contest. The more you comment, the better your chances are, keeping in mind that I’ll ignore any comments that are obvious spam/doubles/etc. At the end of the month I’ll randomly draw a name from the entries, and that commenter will receive a free copy of “Nowhere to Hide”! If the name drawn is of a commenter who didn’t intend to enter the contest, already owns a copy, or otherwise does not want the book (make me cry, why don’t ya?), I’ll continue randomly picking names until someone accepts the prize.
So what do you think? Want to win a book? The contest begins with this post, so feel free to let me know that you’re going to be trying your luck! ❤
If I win I’ll have free book contest, too 🙂
Haha, good stuff! 😀
Hahah stomperdad has the right idea. This is an interesting twist on the usual “giveaways” listed all over Goodreads. Making me re-think my plans… haha.
I’m hoping it does well! I’ve been looking for ways to encourage more comments on the blog and it felt like time for a giveaway as well, so I’m combining the two. XD
Smart!
I shared it, so hopefully some views and comments come your way. :]
Awesome! Thanks so much! Not much participation so far. @.@
Hm. Then maybe a Goodreads giveaway would be the best route. Sheerly for exposure sake, you know?
I can honestly say I have no idea how a Goodreads giveaway works. lol Maybe I’ll look into it though! 🙂
Once you become a Goodreads Author, you can just click a few buttons and set it all up yourself. You have to set the book page up first, though. I can help with that since I’m a Librarian. Or you can post it in the thread and any other Librarian can take care of it for you. Then sign up as a GR Author, claim the book as yours and run the giveaway.
It’s really simple, and I think that it’d be the best solution for you at this point, as far as giveaways go, if you’re wondering why I just stuffed all that info down your throat haha. In case you ever wanna scratch that itch.
Awesome, thanks for the info! I don’t have access to a computer right now but I’ll check it out as soon as I can and let you know if I need any help. ^_^
So, I’ve got everything set up, but I noticed that the giveaway page implies that giveaways are for pre-released books. Just wondering if it’s okay for me to do a giveaway of a book that’s been out for a few months, or might I get in trouble for that?
No, you won’t get in trouble! Lots of giveaways are listed after books have been released already!
Perfect, thanks! 😀
my best friend read your book and although it wasn’t her normal read, she really loved it. This would be along the lines of what I love to read so I would love a free book!
I’m so glad she liked it! I’ve actually been getting that reaction a lot…a lot of my family and coworkers wanted to support me by buying the book even though they’re not into zombies, but then many of them ended up really liking it. I can’t lie, that makes me feel pretty good. lol
Your entry is in, so good luck! If you want an extra chance I also set up a giveaway on GoodReads yesterday. 🙂
